Research Interests
Basic & clinical research of cerebrovascular diseases, such as cerebral arteriovenous malformation, carotid and vertebral arterial stenosis complicated with intracranial aneurysm.
Background
Prof. Dr. Li, Guilin was born in Jining City, Shandong Province, and completed his primary to senior high school studies in there. From 1990.09 to 1997.07, he successfully completed undergraduate to mater’s studies at Shandong Medical University, and obtained his M.D. degree. From 1997.08 to 2000.08, Professor Li worked in the neurosurgery department of Shandong Provincial Hospital (SPH). From 2000.09 to 2003.07, he successfully completed undergraduate to doctoral study at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC), and obtained his Ph.D. degree. Then, he worked in the neurosurgery department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital. In 2013.07 he started to worked in the Neurosurgery Department of Xuanwu Hospital. From 2016.01 to 2018.12 took charge of the clinical work of emergency cerebrovascular diseases. From 2019.01, he hold the post of chief attending neurosurgeon of Xuanwu cerebrovascular disease center. His team focus on diagnosis and treatment of intracranial aneurysms as well as cerebrospinal arteriovenous malformations, and he has won several municipal awards. He is married and has a daughter.
