Background
Prof. Dr. Zhao, Guoguang was born in Beijing and completed his primary to senior high school studies. From 1984.09 to 2009.07, he completed undergraduate to doctoral studies at Capital Medical University and obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degree. In 1989.08, Professor Zhao entered the neurosurgery department of Xuanwu Hospital. From 1998 to 2004, Professor Zhao served as deputy director of the Department of Functional Neurosurgery, Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University. In 2016.05, he started to be the president of Xuanwu Hospital. In 2021.06, and began to be the director of the epilepsy centre of Xuanwu Hospital. His team focus on preoperative evaluation and treatment of intractable epilepsy, and he has won several national, provincial, and municipal awards. He is married and has a daughter.
