Research programs

Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University (CMU) is leading a prospective, multi-center clinical trial of nerve regeneration collagen scaffold graft for repair of acute complete spinal cord injury. We are now openly recruiting patients with acute complete spinal cord injury, and volunteers who meet the requirements will have the opportunity to participate in the clinical study. This clinical trial is also part of the 14th Five-Year National Key Research and Development Program "Research and Development of Biomaterials for Spinal Cord Injury Repair". The study has received ethical approval from Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University (No. 037 of Clinical Examination [2022]).


Basic requirements for participation in the study

Patients with C4-T12 traumatic spinal cord injury within 14 days of injury, ASIA Grade A;

Imaging showing disruption of spinal cord integrity;

Electrophysiologic examination showing loss of sensory evoked potentials and motor evoked potentials in the lower limbs;

Aged between 18 and 65 years old, gender is not limited;

Good general condition with normal cardiovascular, respiratory, hepatic, renal and other major system functions; normal major indicators on routine laboratory tests;

Matters requiring your cooperation
