I attended the pediatric vascular disease and aneurysm sessions on the 8th and 9th respectively. Each session consisted of several invited speakers presenting on their respective topics, with independent time and a free question session after each presentation.

Among the sessions on vascular diseases in children, the following are of interest.

(1) Boston Children's Hospital has emphasized the significance of mutation markers in the management of Moyamoya disease in children, and in particular the value of urine samples to detect biological markers.

(2) Professor Storm of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania, USA, shared the requirements for AVM follow-up and sample retention in the treatment of pediatric AVM. Blood and tissue samples were taken from each AVM patient, saliva samples were taken from parents, and body fluid samples (blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid) were taken from patients before surgery and during follow-up.
