Hospital Discharge

1. Please go to the nurse's station after 08:30 on the day of discharge to ask if you can settle the bill, and bring all the hospital deposit slips to the discharge office to go through the formalities.

2. Self-financed and public medical patients can check out on the day of discharge; Beijing medical insurance patients should go to the hospital office to complete the procedures after 5 working days; non-local medical insurance patients should go through the checkout procedures after 14:00 on the same day if they are discharged before 10:00. Patients who are discharged from the hospital after 3:00 need to complete the checkout procedures after 14:00 the next day, and the process must be postponed to working days during holidays. Please be prepared in advance.

3. The discharge office will give you: discharge certificate (if you need to take a vacation, please notify the doctor in charge in advance and write it on the discharge certificate), invoices, and a detailed list. After the procedures are completed, please ask the nurse to check for you.

4. Patients who need to copy medical records, please bring the ID cards or copies of both the patient and the principal to the medical record room. The location is: the second floor of the building next to the supermarket on the south side. In addition, the medical record room also provides medical records mailing service. The processing time is from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 11:30 in the morning and 13:00 to 16:30 in the afternoon.

5. Regarding the reimbursement of hospitalization expenses for non-local patients: Please ask what materials your organization needs. If you have special needs, please communicate with your doctor in advance.

6. For patients who need to continue taking medication after the hospital, the doctor will give you an order to take the medication out of the hospital. The medication will be issued to you by the nurse. Please strictly follow the instructions and the doctor's instructions.

7. Please go to the first floor of the cafeteria (multi-function hall) to go through the procedures for refunding your meal card on the day you leave the hospital. Please take your valuables and films with you when you leave the hospital.


Discharge guidance for neurosurgery

1) Disease observation

If you have worsening pain, poor speech, blurred vision, physical sensation and mobility impairment, and other symptoms, please consult a doctor in time.

2) Dietary guidance

Eat a high-protein, easy-to-digest, high-vitamin diet. Maintain good living habits, quit smoking and limit alcohol, eat a proper diet, avoid irritating foods, maintain smooth stools, and do not use force during defecation.

3) Wound care

Open surgery: pay attention to observe whether the wound is red, swollen, hot, painful, or oozing, do not scratch, keep the wound dressing clean and dry, and review it on time; For suture-removed wound, you can bathe after 2-3 weeks. 

Interventional treatment: pay attention to observe whether there is any new bruising at the puncture site, whether there is induration under the skin or whether the original symptoms have aggravated. If there is any change, please obtain medical attention in time.

4) Rehabilitation guidance

Please persevere working out but avoid fatigue and perform the rehabilitation exercises gradually. Following the medical staff's rehabilitation methods, perform functional exercises according to different diseases (cervical spine, lumbar spine).

5) Use of the brace

The neck brace, chest and waist circumference need to be worn for three months generally, or following the doctor's advice. Please insist on wearing them daily.
