Research Interests

Preoperative evaluation and surgical treatment of refractory epilepsy; epileptic brain network in refractory epilepsy; molecular mechanism of epilepsy network.


Background

Prof. Dr. Shan, Yongzhi was born in Beijing and completed his primary to senior high school studies. From 1989.09 to 1994..07, he completed undergraduate to doctoral studies at Capital Medical University, and in 2005 and 2020 respectively obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degree. In 1995.08, Professor Shan entered the neurosurgery department of Xuanwu Hospital. Now,He served as professor of Neurosurgery,Xuanwu Hospital Capital Medical University and Deputy Director of the epilepsy centre of Xuanwu Hospital. He has sufficient experience in the treatment and preoperative evaluation of intractable epilepsy and good at stereotactic neurosurgery. He is married.
